Specialist Adv. Diploma in Clinical Counselling Supervision
Our Specialist Advanced Diploma in Clinical Counselling Supervision is an in-depth counselling supervision training programme designed for experienced practitioners. This course is delivered entirely through live remote learning, allowing you to train from anywhere in the UK or internationally.
This advanced counselling training is suitable for those with counsellor qualifications with a minimum of two years’ post-qualification experience and at least 450 hours of professionally supervised counselling practice, as well as managers who provide supervision within organisational or managerial roles.
Our specialist diploma covers cultural diversity and professional expectations in supervision, explores a minimum of four supervision theories, and addresses the legal and ethical responsibilities of the supervisory role. You will also be trained to work confidently with both trainee and qualified counsellors, gaining a clear understanding of their differing developmental needs, as well as the associated paperwork, reporting requirements and professional standards.
While this course is not an accredited qualification, it provides substantial CPD hours, a recognised training certificate, and the practical skills required to practise confidently as a clinical or casework supervisor. On completion, you will receive your certificate in counselling supervision and can be added to our approved supervisor list, which is shared with our Level 4 counselling trainees.
