Specialist Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People

This course is only for remote learning, not centre-based. Your children’s counsellor training will be completed via Zoom from 9.30am to 4.30pm one day each month for 12 months. This means our child and adolescent counselling sessions can be accessed from any location around the world. This course is suitable for both trainee and qualified counsellors to add to your CPD hours, or for those working in pastoral settings. It is not accredited, but you will receive a House Certificate from Key Counselling Training upon completion. You will be able to counsel children upon successful completion in pastoral settings or, if a qualified counsellor, in private practice.

We have been awarded "Counselling Training Provider of the Year UK"

Counselling Children and Adolescents Diploma

Here at Key Counselling Training, we want to help people at all stages of their children’s counsellor training. Our services provide training to a range of learners, from qualified professionals to trainees and for those working in pastoral settings.

Unlike other courses and diplomas, our counselling children and Young Persons diploma is not completed via email or pre-recorded video. Instead, one of our qualified & experienced tutors will teach you live on a platform like Zoom. This makes our children's counsellor training feel more collaborative and face-to-face and you will be in a virtual classroom.  It is for one day per month for 12 months.

Counselling Children Training courses

Children and young people are often the most vulnerable and impressionable members of our community. As such, providing the right support to guide them through the issues that affect them is vital, whilst ensuring their safety is even more paramount. We proudly offer a comprehensive range of learning within our child and adolescent counselling course that is designed to enable aspiring counsellors, like you, to feel confident about your newfound skills and knowledge, and be able to provide creative interventions that benefit your clients.

Our learners become competent professionals who are capable of working with children and young people that experience a variety of different issues, such as anxiety, relationship difficulties and self-esteem issues. We aim to provide you with techniques and learning that allow you to feel both competent and confident when providing counselling to children and young people.

You will need up to a level 3 counselling skills certificate to access this course. We will ask for the necessary learning certificates as proof of prior qualifications.
